smizing
This here’s supposed to be Mr. Robert L. Johnson, the founder of BET. I saw a photo of him on the cover of an obscure trade journal, lo, a few years ago. Five years ago to be exact. Noted that he had a warm smile and liked that he was smiling also with his eyes, and felt like drawing him.
It’s not a very faithful likeness. It was a super quick sketch. Used pen and pencil, then later on, a bit of acrylic. In my image files, he bears the moniker of “Businessman.”
Wikipedia tells me that the Businessman’s net worth “declined to $550 million” – according to Forbes’ estimation. How nosey of Forbes. Funny. Guess wealth is subjective. And “decline” is a more flexible verb than I’d ever have given it credit.
